Hello everybody. I'm playing a new game and I'm roleplaying a Neutral Good Female Lesser Drow Wizard. Here's her backstory. (A Very Long Backstory.) https://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=1101461 So the game is actually a fairy-tale and my character Sarah Diamond personality was inspired by a tarot court card known as the Page of Pentacles because she happen to be a student well ex-student but she still a learner and very young in her age. So anyway she taking care of the shepards kids right now and she is very annoyed by taking care of the kids. So anyway how can I roleplay without being a jerk or in my character case a b****?

I'm not sure what you mean by being a bitch.

If you have an idea, figure out what a bitch would do, and do the opposite.

Specifically if you found another NPC to watch the kids it would free her up to go adventuring.

I like the inspiration of the tarot card!

She doesn't want to be rude to the kids that what I'm trying to say.

And you have trouble with roleplaying that... because?

So if you want to go for a softie, that doesn't like to be rude, but still hates her job:
-Come late, go early, be preocupied and do something else while you are supposed to watch the kids.
-Try to buy the children's affection with your latest shopping haul,
-you don't really understand the children: Either treat them like grown-ups or toddlers.
-Have friends over during work,
-Get angry at anybody else, or go drinking'n'sulking after work,
-> To sum it up: you do the minimal amount of work, search for easy solutions and cope with it through unhealthy means.

Maybe you could combine it with a phobia/strong dislike of dirt/noise/dumb people.

"Don't worry kids, I am a PC. Once I come back from a single year of adventuring I will be able to give each of you enough money that you will never have to work a day in your lives and can come live with me in my awesome wizard's tower."

What is your obsession with playing good drow? Also, why do you keep making threads about roleplaying advice for things as mundane as "how do I handle the shepherd's kids?" It's really as simple as "think to yourself, what would my character do"

I like good Drow. Also I love D&D 3.5.

Truly.
I don't understand how your softie is going to adventure, especially while unwilling to stop babysitting kids she doesn't really like. Is the plot that she gets kidnapped into adventure?

I see that. But i often don't understand you. For reasons of my own (and because i need to be liked) i try to like you (and i think i do!), but it's hard to help you. You either come, repeatedly, with builds that ignore a dozen rules while asking how to perform a relatively simple build (without ignoring standards like point buy), or stuff like this ... "how do i play a sad babysitter npc while the adventuring goes on somewhere else, without seeming like a bigot? (Was it bitch or bigot?).

I bet i would have fun playing with you. I would kidnap your babysitter and take her adventuring. Maybe I'd talk her into master specialist diviner, that would make her feel good.

He claims he's 33, but I have doubts. If it's true then there are two alternatives that I can think of, but it would probably be againsts forum rules to say it.

Why are you left babysitting the kids anyhow? I mean, softie or not, is taking care of the kids not the parents' job? And heck, you could hire a long-term babysitter for them even out of your starting money.

Or, since it is a fairy tale setting, take the kids with you. Many fairy tales have children as protagonists.

You can check out Liriel Baenre from the book Daughter of the Drow for inspiration while playing good female drow mages...
