So when you kill a Phoenix it leaves behind an egg shaped cylinder which weighs five pounds. That cylinder hatches in 1D6 Days.

What happens if a group I'm DMing put that cylinder into a Bag of Devouring? Does the bag burn before taking the live egg is devoured? Does the bag burn and transport the cylinder to the Astral Plane? Is the egg/cylinder an object or a being for this purpose?
