So I had this idea for a build and would like some input.

Druid(circle of the moon) 1-2
Barbarian 3
Warlock 4
Druid 5-20

So the basic idea of this is to health tank as much damage as possible. We are starting off with Druid for wild shape for a turtle, bear, or even better yet a giant octopus. Then we head on over to Barbarian for the damage resistance with rage. Then we go Warlock for Armor of Agathys and be able to cast it with Druid levels.

So at level 5 if you go with giant octopus you got 52 health then 2nd level Armor of Agathys for an extra 10 then rage effectively doubles it with a not so bad 124 health to tank with. Not to shabby?

Oh and hi everyone this is my first post!

Solid thinking. Anything which extends your upcast AoA is great. The Battlemaster's parry maneuver and the Rogue's Uncanny Dodge also shine with it. And the Blade Ward cantrip actually becomes a worthwhile choice when combined with AoA.

Oh, and welcome aboard!

Take a look at spore druid. They have a pretty strong temp HP bonus from their circle ability.

Not after the nerf they don’t.

A fun class and rp opportunity but mechanically it is horrible.

You might be interested in a Warlock 1 or 2 / Abjuration Wizard X. Your arcane ward takes damage before the temp hp from Armor of Agathys so you get a lot of milage from AoA.

Pump up the constitution and intelligence, take the tough feat, and you're looking good.

In this edge case blade ward can be useful to extend your hp even further and eventually you'll get spell resistance to round it out. Absorb elements for stuff like dragon's breath.
