Scions of Maervon: Pentrefcastellian Brouhaha!

As a small number of you depart from your table, you being to depart to spread rumors and garner support among the locals of Pentrefcastell.

Delvin is sticking to the plan he mentioned to Jonathon: start with the churches. He'll be going to his own church first to discuss the rumours he heard of King Maervon's incurable illness, and that perhaps during public services there should be calls for his gentle passing. If that sticks, Delvin will be going around to other churches in the area with a similar story and perhaps prayers for the King.

There's actually no churches to the Raven Queen in Pentrefcastell, the closest thing is a small hole-in-the-wall temple to another psychopomp god named Charon. Would you like to start there, or choose a different church to start at? If you'd like a pantheon list, I can provide.

Initially Jon goes about his business as a performer as usual, but moves away from the markets and inns favoured by the wealthy and corrupt nobles and traders. Instead he goes amongst the smokestacks where Iron is forged, the hard docks where crates from the freighters filled with bulk goods are hailed aboard, the small villages outside the walls where the guardsmen of the city can’t be asked to protect. The places where if you play a man a song and buy him a cheap beer your as close as friends of twenty years, the places where the people have little to lose, much to gain and more power Han they would know.

There songs are sung with a jaunty tune and a quick beat, old campfire favourites retuned for a new message, “The King with God’s renown” becomes “The King whose pants came down”. With stories of the kings illness and the madness that came with it following in every drinking session.
