I was thinking of conducting some mock battles with vehicles and starships to give some context to space battles. Before I do that though, I wanted to check if it’s been done already.

Can anyone point me to a database of mock battles that have been conducted with various vehicles (no PCs), that indicates which side will win in a given space combat?

Ie: 3 xwings vs 5 tie fighters, who usually wins?

One ISD vs 3 nebulon B frigates, who usually wins and how many starfighters are left over?

How many tie fighters are an even match for a dozen xwings? Interceptors? Defenders?

How many xwings is an even match for a victory star destroyer and tie complement? How many would it take to win 70% of the time?

These types of questions. The idea behind this is to give context to PCs in vehicle combat, so they have a better idea how extraordinary their achievements are.

Edit: apologies if this isn’t the right place to ask this question.

There's another Forum titled 'Older D&D/AD&D and other systems'. Your question would be more appropriate - and more likely to get a useful response - there.

True, but non-D&D D20 is covered elsewhere normally:

Forum: Older D&D/AD&D and Other Systems
The forum for discussions specifically related to the rules and procedures of either any of the older editions of Dungeons & Dragons (1e, 2e, BECMI, OD&D) or any other non-D&D roleplaying rules (Vampire: The Requiem, Dread), including non-fantasy d20 systems (such as Mutants & Masterminds).

Even if its in the wrong place I'll answer.

Not that I know of, but frankly I would go with what is narratively consistent with what you need. Also remember that Crew Rating is important here as well.

X-wings, not a question. Proton Torps are nuts.

This one is Trickier, I'd probably give it to the Nebulon's simply because they would have better escort Fighters.

Why are X-Wings doing the Y-Wing's job?

The Problem is

The forum for conversations specifically related to the rules and procedures of Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition, 3.5 Edition, or any fantasy game using the d20 system or a variant thereof (commercially published or not).
causes cross post with this

including non-fantasy d20 systems (such as Mutants & Masterminds).

Fantasy game using the d20 system or a variant thereof (commercially published) belongs to Older D&D/AD&D and Other Systems.
Fantasy game using the d20 system or a variant thereof (not commercially published) belongs to Homebrew.

Especially given that Star Wars is typically classes as science fantasy, rather than regular science-fiction. So it should be fine, as it is fantasy.
