Hi there,

Is there a thread somewhere that lists any and all differences between the two editions of Spell Compendium ? Thanks.

One has a shiny cover and one doesn't, as far as I am concerned. If WotC truly planned on changing anything, it'd be in an errata, not a new book.

The premium reprints supposedly incorporate errata; there should be no other material changes like completely new or removed spells. So, Original Poster, the answer to your question is to go find the Spell Compendium Errata file; the text there should be inlined into the reprint already so you don't have to copy it over or stickynote the page or however you used to keep track of errata changes.

Unfortunately there ARE a number of changes in at least the 2012 PHB and DMG that weren't in errata. One that recently was brought up again was a line in the prestige class section of the DMG; the original printing omitted the 3.0 line saying they are exempt from multiclass penalties, but the Premium DMG put that line back in when it wasn't errata'd.

That was the general gist of this thread (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?278125-Just-pre-ordered-my-Spell-Compendium-reprint!), when the premium reprints were just coming out.

Sure wish the DM for my first 3.5 game had known this. :smallfrown:

Does the 2013 version have draconic polymorph in it?

while the original Spell Compendium had it listed in the spell list the actual spell itself should have been right after draconic might and right before dragon ally. But it is not there.

No it does not. It is still listed in the spell list however. Adding an entire spell into the text would greatly mess up formatting, both the text and images. Something would need to be removed to make space. It is far easier than adding in additional pages. Too much work for something that was supposed to be an easy cash grab and bribe to lure back those that 4e pissed off.

No, it does not.

So the bottom line is: PHB and DMG got a few tweaks, SpC too most likely although nothing has yet been reported.
