Can one build traps inside a Portable Hole?
If so can they be Magic Traps?
Do Magic Traps cast their spell or store the spell to affect their victim?

Other than Portable Holes what other mobile terrain does PF have for carrying traps about?
Perhaps Animated Object with a Magic Trap added via Magic Item Improvement rules (if the Constructs are Magiv Items rules interpretation is in effect.)
Or maybe an Intelligent Magic Item wondrous architecture (a 3.x SBG term, in PF it'd just be a really big Wondrous item without the price reduction) with the legs ability and a Magic Trap built in.

Does placing a Magic Trap into a Portable Hole change the CR or price of the trap? Or is this just modifying a magic item and changing the price of the Portable Hole?

(Traps come in three flavors, mechanical, spell, and magic. Mechanical are mundane objects. Spell are like Explosive Runes or Teleportation Circle. Magic are more like wondrous items.)

If Magic Traps can be made into Intelligent Magic Items, does doing so change the traps CR or price beyond the cost of adding the intelligence?
(Where in the rules are Magic Traps called out as Magic Items if at all?)

Could a PF Intelligent Magic Item Portable Hole with the legs quality deploy itself?
Most likely.
Not only are Portable Holes quite easy to deploy, Intelligent Magic Items can explicitly utilize all their own abilities and it could definitely be argued that going magically from folded cloth to extradimensional hole is an ability of the item.

Basically, yes and no.

In principle, traps would work.

Factually, the inside of a Portable Hole, Bag of Holding or Handy Haversack is treated like a non-space, so we don't have a map or coordinates to work with and it seems that this particular brand of magic avoids providing those.

Technically they're demiplanes according to the text from the Manual of the Planes that got copied onto the Planar Handbook which IIRC might have gotten copied into the 3.5 DMG and summarily included in PF.

It's admittedly been a while since I ran down that rabbit hole.

Assuming you just want to kill something using a portable hole, why not just fill t with acid?

Right. But we still don't have any clear rules or guidance how they're set up, which form they will take.

You mean other than the dimensions given in their descriptions?
Afraid I'm not picking up what you're putting down.
