Can anyone suggest a way of making quick, decent looking maps?

Let's say I have a map on a pdf file. What would be a efficient way to have that printed out? I'm pretty clueless when it comes to these sorts of things. I'd like to be able to have it with grid and the ability to adjust the grids.

Appreciate any advice.

Thanks

Any local Staples or print shop nearby? It's what they do.

Alternately, buy some Christmas wrapping paper with the 1" grid on the reverse side. Should be on clearance now.

Does the map have the grid on it?

When I've printed maps from jpg or pdf I'll set the top margins at 1/2" and the side margins at 1/4" so the printed page is 8"x10" then I repeatedly adjust the print scaling and do a print preview until the grid lines line up with the page margins.

It's worked on everything I've wanted to print out so far.
