Does a spell exist to restore another spell casters spent spell/spell slot?

For example Character A casts a 4th level spell, Character B casts spell X(probably 5th level or higher) targeting Character A, character A regains his spent 4th level slot.

I seem to remember a psionic power that could give your power points to someone else was wondering if a spell existed to do the same more or less.

It's not exactly what you're looking for, but there's a 9th level spell called Absorption (Spell Compendium) that allows you to convert spells cast on the user into spell slots.

Get yourself a friend with an at will SLA (Warlock, summoned monster, ect.) and you can get yourself infinite spell slots.

This thread has more details on getting infinite spells with Absorption. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?212739-Absorption-Never-run-out-of-spells-again!)

The power you are remembering is called Dweomer of Transference. I made a handbook on spell slot recovery recently, there is no spell that does what you’re asking for, I looked. But you might find something else that fits your needs, link in sig.

Actually, Dweomer Of Transference (http://http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/spells/dweomerOfTransference.htm) is a spell.

I think the power the OP meant was Bestow Power. (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/powers/bestowPower.htm)

Crap, I always get mixed up between both of those. My mistake.

No problem.

Dweomer of Transference also makes the target of the spell immune to all magic.

But getting infinite power points is nice too.

Actually wanted to use it in conjunction with an idea I got from your handbook

Specifically an Unfettered Heroism Bard Cohort for my Antipaladin character. Nothing to crazy I just like my characters to have endurance/staying power. Was hoping there might be a way to turn the bards spells into more spells for my Antipaladin.

Glad to hear it helps others.

I actually like my characters to have high endurance/staying power, actually due to a problem that your idea has I started the handbook. I used Unfettered Heroism as spell recovery but noticed that Unfettered Heroism grants Eberron Action points and to recover spells you need to use UA Action points, unless you have Primal Scholar as a PrC. Essentially, unfettered heroism is useless for you unless you have that one class.

However if all you want to nab is some more spells for your Antipaladin you could just buy a Belt of the Dread Emperor.

I was going to give the cohort that prestige class as well.

Magic item "shops" can be hard to come by in our games, I generally try to avoid relying on magic items I probably won't be able to buy if I can help it.

Before your post I had looked into combing the Sacrifice rules in BOVD with some cost reducing feats so I could make 1st level pearls of power for free, never really did anything with that though, might be something you could add in if you wanted.
Covering the entire XP cost is very easy, covering the whole GP cost requires a little bit more effort.

Lucubration (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/magesLucubration.htm) and mnemonic enhancer (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/mnemonicEnhancer.htm) can be made to do this via several methods. The simplest is to buy a ring of spell storing (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/rings.htm#spellStoringMinor), cast the spell into the ring, then give the ring to the character who wants to recover a spell.
