I got the feat mixed blood (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/3rd-party-feats/dreamscarred-press/mixed-blood-heritage/) feat and choose the plant type. It says I gain the earthblood sub-type. Aside from the abilities you get from the mixed blood feat. Does gaining the eathblood sub-type change anything? Or do I simply qualify as a earth creature for various things?

First off, Mixed Blood is not a feat anymore. It was changed to a trait. https://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/3rd-party-feats/dreamscarred-press/mixed-blood-heritage/

The -blood subtypes all make you count as a certain type in addition to your other types and subtypes for effects and prerequisites relating to type. Earthblood makes you count as a plant.

Where did you find the -blood sub-type? I have looked everywhere and nothing says what it is.

He's using -blood as a suffix. So in your case, Earthblood. Earthblood lets you count as a Plant type creature in addition to your normal Type. So anything that effects Plant type creatures (which honestly, there's not much) also effects you.

Earthblood also gives you low-light vision, and you can replace eating with spending an hour in the sun.

In the Bloodforge PDF (http://dreamscarred.com/product/bloodforge/) on page 3.

It doesn't look like any SRD or wiki sites have put up those bits of text. As for what the subtypes do, I told you in my last post.

I'd advise page 87 instead. You get some extra goodies when you get a -blood subtype through Mixed Blood. Why you don't get those anyway, I don't know. Like, its kinda disappointing that an Oakling still needs to eat and can't just bask in the sun.

Selecting Mixed Blood (Plant) is what gives you low-light vision and sunny snacking. The Earthblood subtype doesn't give those things.
