Mud + Prone

Question about rules interaction.

What happens if someone stuck in the mud from transmute rock int mud is knocked prone?

Are they blind? Are they deaf? Do they have cover? Do they start drowning in the mud?

And add as side note, can undead drown?

It depends on the DM but in my opinion, no. There should be no extra benefit for spell combos beyond what the spells say they do. Undead don't breath.

Edit : to be clear, if you are prone and restrained, you cannot stand up from prone until you are no longer restrained.

Being prone doesn't necessarily mean you have to be laying on whatever surface. You could be just on your knees or sitting on a chair and still be considered prone.
