The Voodan base class from Ravenloft looks pretty cool.

Has anyone seen one in play?

How good is it? Can it be ported back out of the Ravenloft setting reasonably easily?

I've seen one in play.
Depending on how much you want to exploit it, it can be as strong as a DMM cleric or natural spell druid.

What book is this class from? Is it 3rd party?

"Hey guys, what if we made a Cleric/Binder combination class that doesn't make the cleric fall for being a binder?"
-WotC designers, whilst making the Voodan, probably.

Hmm, wonder how it compares to Bokor or Hougan from Mythic Vistas: Skull & Bones (https://greenroninstore.com/products/skull-and-bones-pdf). Looks a lot stronger, at first glance.

Well, I can tell you right now that looking at the Voodan class tells me it's pretty good.

Seriously, pick one of the options that give you Conjuration and Transmutation and you have a giant chunk of spells at your disposal.

Easily tier 1, albeit perhaps near the bottom of that tier.

I'm not familiar with the Bokor and Hougan, though.

I tend to lumpmthem in with Sha'ir: odd, fun, but slightly impractical. For many of your spells you are going to be two full levels behind a cleric.
The ability to share spells - especially those that do not care about CL or DC, is very nice. You can cut down drastically on multiple long casting times by sharing the burden this way.
Their turn/rebuke options are also simply the most powerful out of the box available. Unfortunately, no other class specifically stacks with it.
The broad spell list is nice, but generally unnecessary. It allows you to fill some odd combinations of prc prereqs, though...
Loa selection will be easily powergamed, as it is made clear that in essence every possible Loa exists. The only drawback to gods, other than their spell specialisations, is that they do not fully grant domains. However, the ability to spontaneously cast any domain spell of 3 domains at will more than makes up for that.
