UA Sidekick Spellcaster Question

Anyone have an opinion on how the UA Sidekick Spellcaster Feature “Empowered Spells” functions with spells with more than one damage roll? A similar feature for the Evocation Wizard clearly applies to only one damage roll. I’m just wondering how the UA feature interacts with spells like Hex or Scorching Ray. Maybe this answer is implicit in the text and I just don’t see it.

Hmm, I think the wording is vague enough that it could be up to individual DM interpretation. For myself, I'd say it applies to all damage rolls associated with the spell.
