Floorplans and maps of large buildings and cities

A little question: do you know of sources, or maybe have, plans and maps for large buildings with many rooms such as castles, hospitals, asylums etc. ? I would appreciate such a file or link to resources.

On a similar vein, do you know resources for city-plans?

As far as cities, is there a particular period or region you're looking for? As you can imagine, it becomes more difficult to find detailed maps and plans the further back you go.

So I end up drawing from books on history and archaeology. For basic castles and keeps, I like The Medieval Castles of Ireland (https://www.amazon.com/Medieval-Castles-Ireland-David-Sweetman/dp/0851157882/), which has plans and elevations for a number of fortresses, along with photos and reconstructions. There are plenty of others like it--just a question of spending some time at your local library.

If you want ready-made maps, you can browse the Cartographers' Guild (https://www.cartographersguild.com/content.php), which has a strong emphasis on fantasy mapping. Most of the encounter maps in my game come from CG, either as finished maps or elements that I recombine.
