Diamond Dragon is a psionic prestige class from Dragon Magic with 8/10 manifesting, average BAB, and various class features that imitate dragon abilities, if you didn't know.
So... the breath weapon, wings, Sleep/Paralysis Neutralization, Frightful Presence... those are very nice, yeah. The thing is, the claws and tail aren't terrible, especially thanks to Dragon Augmentation... but the damage output isn't exactly great.
Let's say beginning stats are 16/10/16/16/14/8. At ECL 20 with +6 stat items and Dragon Augmentation, that gets up to around 26/10/22/26/14/8, if my math is correct. With fully "augmented" tail and claws, Offensive Precognition augmented up to a +8 bonus, Haste, and a pale green prism ioun stone, a Psion 10/Diamond Dragon 10(or Psion 7/Diamond Dragon 10/Uncanny Trickster 3) with Improved Multiattack has a +35 to-hit.
The thing is, the average damage(including Power Attack) against AC 35 and no DR gets 75.81 damage per round - not much better than a direct damage power, and much lower than a dedicated melee character at that level should get. Of course, Diamond Dragons aren't full-on bruisers, but I'd love to improve on that.
I'm purposely avoiding Expanded Knowledge(Spirit of War) and the Necklace of Natural Weapons; they don't really fit the character concept and this is more of a thought exercise than anything.
Could anyone help in selecting feats, gear, and powers that could help improve the melee damage output without compromising the Psion base much? Or really, general advice in general?
