Hey everyone...first time posting. I am trying to run a game with my wife and two children in 5e. I have an unopened Madness at Gardmore Abbey set from when i played 4e and wanted to start with that. I found rules updating the adventure to 5e and it seems like a fairly simple conversion. My question is from what I've read characters should be level 5 to start and the campaign is assuming 5 PCs. What steps should i take to adjust the difficulty so that my first time dnd family won't struggle with every encounter?
