Artificer Blaster: Spell Storing Infusion

Looking at making a pseudo warlock blasting artificer using Spell Storing Item + Metamagic Item Persist.

My current plan was to Persist Darkfire from the Spell Compendium for all day 5d6 damage with iterative attacks (maybe add more metamagic to it later)

I was wondering if there was a better spell I could use for all day blasting or for if I run into things with fire resistance/immunity.

A searing spell darkfire is 4th level, see if you can make a spell storing item of that? You might need the actual feat, but it’s not a bad way to go.
