Would a Disguise Self spell be enough to disguise a Dragonborn or Half-Dragon character into looking like a human, or would more powerful magic be needed?

In that case you are effectively using the spell to create a disguise. While you get a +10 on the check from the spell, you take a -2 on the check for disguising yourself as a different race.
