Ring of the Soul Mate
These simple rings of gold are forged in sets of two or more and are generally worn by married characters or adventuring parties that have quested together long enough to become fire-forged friends. All rings of the soul mate from the same set are referred to as "bonded rings" and grant the following benefits to their bearers:

Awareness of the condition and emotional state of their bonded ring-bearer(s), as if by the empathic link between a wizard and their familiar.

The benefits of a heroism spell (+2 morale bonus on attack rolls, saves, and skill checks).

The above benefits function regardless of the distance between bonded ring-bearers, even if they are on different planes. A ring of the soulmate does not function unless it has at least one bonded ring worn by a living (or undead, or construct) character.

Faint Enchantment; CL 5th; Forge Ring, heroism; Price 45,000 gp (per ring); Weight -.

All rings of the soul mate from the same set are referred to as "bonded rings" and grant the following benefits to their bearers:
Awareness of the condition and emotional state of their bonded ring-bearer(s), as if by both the status spell and the empathic link between a wizard and her familiar.

The ability to use the Aid Another action to grant a +2 bonus to the attack rolls, damage rolls, saving throws, ability checks, and skill checks of their bonded ring-bearer(s) for 1 round, even if not physically present with them.

The ability to automatically "share" any morale bonuses they possess (e.g. from remove fear, a bard's Inspire Heroics, etc.) with their bonded ring-bearer(s). A ring-bearer does not lose the morale bonus they share with their bonded ring-bearer(s) in this way.

After failing a save against a negative morale effect (e.g. crushing despair, a true dragon's Frightening Presence, etc.), the ability to attempt a new saving throw each round on their turn to end the effect. The ring-bearer gains a +4 morale bonus on these saves.

For the purpose of confusion, dominate person, geas/quest, and similar effects, the ability to treat their bonded ring bearer(s) as part of the ring-bearer's self and orders to harm them as obviously self-destructive orders.

Immunity to any harmful effect that would affect their soul (e.g. magic jar, soul bind, trap the soul, a devourer's Trap Essence, etc).

All of the above benefits function regardless of the distance between bonded ring-bearers, even if they are on different planes. A ring of the soulmate does not function unless it has at least one bonded ring worn by a living (or undead, or construct) character.

It is too good for its cost.
Not only you get a very useful immunity but you can also get helped by the mind controlled(with a necrotic cyst) warforged bard to help you all day with not only morale bonuses but also aid another actions.(and the warforged is safe too)

Creation needs to include all the spells used. It is missing status since that is integral to the first part.

Every bonus costs the the number squared x 1,000 see +2 Aid Another (cost is 4,000 gp)

The +4 to bonus to the first save is worth 16,000 gp.

Sharing bonuses is impossible if the characters have two different numbers for morale purposes. Whose do you use?
This should be a static morale bonus. Multiple morale bonuses on the same character do not stack. If this is a static +4 bonus, then that's another 16,000 gp.

Frankly, this item does way too many things and would be much more expensive than you've estimated.

Costs for the spells is Spell level × caster level × 2,000 gp
Status is 2x4x2,000 or 16,000
Soul bind is 9x 17x2,000 or 306,000

How did you determine the cost of this?

Thanks both for your comments. The rings are indeed probably overdesigned and might work better as minor artifacts... Full disclosure: I was feeling sappy while looking at my wedding ring and wanted to make a magic item along those lines (i.e. one that lets you bolster each other during bad times, even when you're long-distance) Partly inspired by the Starjewel from Dragonlance, too.

Soul bind was used as a catch-all for the spell prerequisites (just as a flaming weapon can use a variety of different spells in its crafting), and as a flavourful representation of the "bonded soul-mates" theme.

For determining the price, I simply selected the two effects of the ring with the most direct spell analogues (status and remove fear). The other effects didn't factor into my calculations, given how niche they were.

status cost = spell level x caster level x 2,000 = 2 x 3 x 2000 = 12000

remove fear cost= 1 x 1 x 2000 ; x 0.75 discount for being a similar item ability = 1500

= 12,000 + 1500 = 13,500 total

I actually forgot to multiply the remove fear cost by 1.5 though (nonstandard duration but closest to 10 minutes/level), so the ring should be more like 15,000.

Please note that although the ring grants a variety of effects, most of them are extremely niche and/or don't apply to most adventures. A cloak of resistance +3 is much cheaper and generally more useful than the ring, for example.

The status & empathy are useful only when the party is split (uncommon), and even then aren't as good as telepathic bond or even sending.

The aid another action requires one bearer to forfeit their actions to grant a trifling +2 bonus (rarely happens, especially at the levels when you can afford to buy the rings).

The share morale bonuses effect is useful only for sharing heroism, greater heroism, a bard's inspire heroics, and any other single-target morale bonuses (though those may be the only ones that exist!).

The resistance to negative morale effects is probably the most useful effect, though not as useful as an item of fear immunity, mind blank, or even the aforementioned cloak of resistance +3.

The last two effects are extremely niche -a part from the named spells and effects (which might never even be encountered in a campaign) they're useless.

And of course, an individual ring is useless - at least two different PCs have to wear rings for them to function.

However! With all that said, the item is indeed a slog to read through. I could probably cut out most of the effects, leaving just the empathy and maybe a morale bonus...

For example. the ring described below. The empathy benefit isn't factored into the cost, but neither is the "useless without another ring" drawback.

The first iteration was not too good when used by two members of the party but a normal person would use it with a far away safe warforged to get aid another each round.

Agreed, better to find a way to stop this abuse than cut out so much... Also, it looks like the price some how changed on the original version since you first posted it...

I don't care how niche it the affects are, if you are going to call them "Ring[s ] of the Soul Mate", you don't want to give these affects up.

OOps, that was meant to be 15,000, not 100 gp haha. Even so, in hindsight that version is fairly broken so it can be ignored.

I kind of agree with the other comments - the rings do too many things at once. The new version is simpler and has a more sensible price, if less flavourful.
