9th tier cleric/wizard build

Seeing what the thoughts on this since I have been attempting to figure a way to hit by level 20 both 9th tier arcane and divine tier access.

Race: Bamboo Spirit Folk (pg 14 Oriental Adventures) For the Trackless step since they get it as a racial benefit.


Go 3 Wizard/3 Cleric/10 Mystic Theurge dmg pg 192/4 Arcane Hierophant rotw pg 108.


Any other ways out there that anyone else can think of to hit 9/9 tier by 20?

You can even get triple 9s (arcane, divine, psionic) with some effort. Savage Bard 1/Magic Mantle Ardent 4/Ur Priest 2/Psychic Theurge 3/Sublime Chord 1/Mystic Theurge 5/Cerebremancer 4 uses some tricks to qualify but is perfectly valid. This build originated in Brilliantgameologists, more recently Minmaxforum (http://minmaxforum.com/). Wiggins (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=12412521&postcount=11) did a spreadsheet of the progression complete with feats and skills here for 25pb:

If you go Druid 3/Wizard 3 (or alternate them to avoid multiclass penalties)/mystic theurge 2/arcane hierophant 10/mystic theurge 2 you get dual nines, a smart animal companion, and arguably Druidic wild shape, although the latter two are behind the curve power wise.

If the goal is spell access, then Archivist 20 seems like a much simpler way to get access to any desired spell.

If the goal is spell slots, then an Archivist maxing out caster level via circle magic (Hathran 5) or (greater) consumptive field before casting Owl's Insight generally provides easier access to more spell slots.

So if your only goal is to cast 9 tier wizard&cleric spells by level 20 and text beats table with your group a build as simple as wizard 7/Rainbow Servant 10 gets 9 tier wizard&cleric spells by level 17...
