So I have a character in a 5e game that the dm is allowimg me to re flavor spells as different things.

Poison spray is taking an injection to partially change into a spitting cobra

Have a cone snail harpoon tooth

Tongue becoming box jellyfish tendrils

And vine whip being things like
Gecko tongue

Humboldt squid tentacle replacing tongue or arm.

My question is

If you could partially transmute part of your body to something of an dangerous creature what would it be?

I'm brainstorming ideas for some theatrical changes (watching 72 deadliest series on Netflix owo)

Grease or Web could be hagfish slime (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rE26tBwkz68).

Web could obviously be spider webbing, too. Spider Climb speaks for itself in the same regard.

Mage Armour could be any variety of animal shells or skin - crabs, pangolin, tortoises, etc

Shocking Grasp could be an electric eel.

Disguise Self could be any number animals with camouflage or mimicing abilities - butterflies that have "owl eyes" on their wings, octopi and squid who can change their skin tone and texture, that sort of thing.

Darkvision from any kind of nocturnal animal. Or bats' echolocation if you want to do something specific.

Fear could be quite funny. You raise up your hackles, stand on your toes and hiss at someone like an angry cat to make them run away.

Vampiric Touch could come from a number of parasites - leeches, lampreys, mosquitoes.

Water Breating could be literally growing gills.

Thunderwave - your arms turn into that of a Mantis Shrimp. You spin in a circle, punching faster than is physically possible to dodge. So fast in fact, you create shockwaves in the air that strike your opponents.

Damn you Prometheus. The one thing that made us special...

On the flipside, Acid Breath coul be like growing two additional pairs of limbs that look like gigantic tarantula legs an rapidly flicking them and shooting burning urticating hairs at everything infront of you.

Haste from roadrunner. It's a real animal.

Also disintegrate from tasmanian devil, which prolly has a different name in a fantasy setting.

Evard's Black Tentacles is now a whole bunch of cats who scratch and bite whenever you try to get them off of you.

Bat echolocation is probably better for Detect Invisibility than for Dark Vision (which might be well-represented with Owl eyes).

Slightly off topic, but in a M&M game I am running I allowed a friend to create a Damage power that shoots badgers at people.

That's in the Hero 6E player's guide, is that where you picked it up?

No, we just came up with shooting badgers on our own.
