Resisting Intimidate

As far as I can tell, the modified level check to resist Intimidate is not a saving throw, and thus doesn't auto-succeed on a 20.
Is that correct?

Obviously. Skill checks and saving throws are two systems that really don't interact at all.

Yep a natural 20 doesn't auto succeed the same as a nat 1 doesn't auto fail.

The best way to become immune to imperious command style intimidate is mind effecting or fear immunity.
