Absorb Wound?

Looking for mechanics to willingly take another character's damage onto yourself. Hitpoint damage, ability damage, permanent maiming such as blindness, even a my-life-for-yours resurrection.
So far I know Stigmata, Empathic Transfer, and opposite effect curses on items with Bestow Wound or Vampiric effects/properties.
Feats, spells, skill tricks, class features, magic items, anything we can find.
Does anyone know anything more than what's listed here?

EDIT: For theme reasons I am specifically hoping for mechanics that will pick up existing injuries after the damage has already happened, rather than actively taking other people's damage as it happens.

The Knight class has abilities that let you take damage from an adjacent ally, starting off with 1/2 damage from melee attacks at around level 6, and eventually lets you take all the damage at higher levels.

For and interesting strategy have both character have Damage reduction, then split the damage from the attack so both get to apply damage reduction. Two characters with DR 10 can then completely negate physical attacks doing 20 or less points of damage each.

in DnD 3.5e there are about 5 or 6 psionic spells that do the exactly that. both willing versions for sharing pain with allies so you aren't hurt as much, or the other way around. and there are forceful versions that cause enemies to take your damage if they fail a will save
