So I have the option to add a template to my cleric, CR is essentially no object and based on the way the campaign is set up I can be flexible on alignment as well. 3rd party / 3.x / d20x is not automatically off the table, but has to be lawyered, so Paizo is preferable. I'm leaning towards some type of undead because they get lots of immunities.
The stellar vampire gets a good set of special abilities and a better selection of ability score increases, but even without vulnerability to daylight its weaknesses are terrible. I could cope with garlic mirrors etc, but my character does have to be able to go underwater for at least a few minutes at a time on an occasional basis. Something which circumvents this specific weakness would be ideal.
Lich is my current plan B although the special abilities aren't as good, it doesnt suffer from any horrible drawbacks.
Any thoughts?
