I'm playing a Gestalt half orc fighter barbarian using these rules... https://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/HJbEWuLjW

Obvs I'll be following the fighters ASI progression.

I've rolled 15 13 13 12 12 11.

Int gets the 11 and wis and cha the 12s

I've got a +2 to str and +1 to con and can't decide which is the best way to go

15 13 13 for 17 13 14 gives +3 +1 +2 AC 13
13 15 13 for 15 15 14 gives +2 +2 +2 AC 14
Or
13 13 15 for 15 13 16 gives +2 +1 +3 AC 14

With the first ASI that could bring them to

18 14 14 for +4 +2 +2 AC 14
16 16 14 for +3 +3 +2 AC 15
16 14 16 for +3 +2 +3 AC 15

Suggestions please?

Con gives HP and AC
Dex gives AC and initiative
Str gives damage

You are not forced to rely on your unarmored AC right from the start, I would go with 17, 13, 14 and try to get some medium armor ASAP

Go for STR, buy scale mail or chain shirt with some of your 200g starting gold to have 16 AC or 15 AC with no stealth penalty until you're able to bump CON or DEX later.

Tbh, with those stats, you should just stick to medium armor for good. Unless you get some bracers of armor, it won't be until very late in the game that you will have AC above 17 unarmored.

Hi !

I would go for 16 14 16 myself.
16 Str because, well, you are a Barbarian hitting well and good is what you are supposed to do first.
Then the other 16 in Con and 14 only in Dex because imo medium armor is largely good enough.

Only reason to go for Unarmored would be to make a Stealth Barbarian whiwh can sure be fun but kinda niche.
While the extra HP while not seeming much right now quickly adds up to a pretty decent amount of "effective HP" (considering that most often damage you will suffer will be physical so eligible to rage halving it).

And being a scapegoat to avoid friends getting hurt (while still standing at the end of the day) is the other all-important mission of a Barbarian. : )

I'd go 17, 13, 14 and bump it to 18, 14, 14 at level 4 and stick to medium armor.
