Does the Assume Supernatural Ability feat work on qualities?

For example I polymorph in an outsider with damage reduction. Can I use this feat to gain the outsider's damage reduction? Or does it only apply to activated abilities?

While the feat spends a lot of time talking about determining DC's, it allows you to select any Supernatural ability. The special section of the feat description further specifies each time you take it, you select a different special ability. The SRD lists Damage Reduction under Special abilities.

As far as I know, there has been no errata for Savage Species and that feat has not been republished since so you are in the clear. Just remember some DR is an EX ability and others are Su, so it would only work with the Su varieties.
