I would pick 10 spells, 2 of which would be level 2 spells

I guess Invisibility, Phantasmal Force, or Flaming Sphere.

For maximum optimization, since your level 2 feature only works if you find Conjuration spells to copy, you're better off not picking them through level up.

Misty Step, for survivability (I pick this for almost all of the spellcasters I play who can cast it).
Flaming Sphere, this over scorching ray for a conjuration synergy spell later.
Chromatic Orb, is great damage.
Fire bolt, is good cantrip overall.

Then I would survive until 5th level to start casting fun things, and soon you'll be a 10th level summoning machine. :D

Dust devil could be lots of fun

Both fit conjugation theme

I know it gets a lot of bad rep but in really like cloud of dagger
When it enters area for first time on a turn 4d4 damage
Starting its turn in area 4d4 damage

With a second level slot u get 8d4 damage as long as creature doesnt move between your turn and its turn

This goes up by 4d4 per additional slot (2d4 each tick)

Rope trick is also really nice to have for safe short rests
