Curse of Strahd - Gunslinger should I multiclass? And which race?

About to start on a re flavoured CoS campaign. Gunslinger is allowed, and I'm taking it, but should I consider multiclassing?

I'm thinking rogue if I do.

We're starting at level 5, and I haven't rolled stats yet.

Also, which race?

I'm thinking elf/half-elf for elven accuracy, halfling for re-rolling 1s, or var human for the extra feat?

Gunslinger 5 is pretty good already since you have an extra attack. If you keep to at least 6 levels in fighter you’d be able to get an extra feat or ASI. So at the bare minimum wait until your level 6 before multiclassing
