Most offensive effect in SoP required spending a spell. Now that's all fun, but you can't do it all day long and it’s always nice to have a back up. I want to make this threat to serve as an archive of sorts. I will try my best list cost, pros, cons and alternative ways to use it.


Here is what I got for now:

Some costs are very based on how many sphere specific drawback you are willing to take




Breath Weapon:
Version1:
Cost Sum: 1~3 talent
Cost Detailed: Alteration Sphere, Lingering Transformation and Dragon Transformation.
Pros: Line or cone of any elemental damage, decent damage.
Cons: Requires re-casting/concentrating every 3 rounds, 1d4 round cooldown, countered by evasion.

Version2:
Cost Sum: 1~2 talent, 1 boon
Cost Detailed: Alteration Sphere, Dragon Transformation and Easy Focus
Pros: Line or cone of any elemental damage, decent damage.
Cons: Requires re-casting/concentrating every 3 rounds, 1d4 round cooldown, countered by evasion.

Version3:
Cost Sum: 1 feat
Cost Detailed: Transformation
Pros: Decent damage.
Cons: Suck in 1 type and shape, 1d4 round cooldown, countered by evasion.




Fire AoO
Version1:
Cost Sum: 1~3 talent
Cost Detailed: Alteration Sphere, Sustained Reanimation, Expanded Necromancy,
Pros: Skeleton still can attack
Cons: Requires Bodies



Dragonic companion
Version1:
Cost Sum: 1~2 Talent
Cost Detailed: Conjuration, Draconic Creature, Poppet or Familiar archetype
Pros: Can do a lot more than just breath weapon
Cons: Suck in 1 type and shape, 1d4 round cooldown, countered by evasion, not best damage (familiar variant especially).

Ooze companion
Version1:
Cost Sum: 1~3 Talent
Cost Detailed: Conjuration, Ooze Companion x 2, Poppet or Familiar archetype
Pros: Great for battlefield control.
Cons: Can only engulfed smaller creatures, no scaling on damage, not best damage (familiar variant especially).

Swarm companion
Version1:
Cost Sum: 2 Talent, one of which is advanced
Cost Detailed: Conjuration, Swarm Companion, Poppet or Familiar archetype
Pros: Great for battlefield control, not best damage (familiar variant especially).
Cons:

Troop companion
Version1:
Cost Sum: 2 Talent, one of which is advanced
Cost Detailed: Conjuration, Troop Companion, Poppet or Familiar archetype
Pros: Great for battlefield control, you can surround yourself with them, can be buffed heavily, not best damage (familiar variant especially).

Pros:
Cons: Only 1 trap at the time per Blast Trap taken, Only activates when creature steps on it, countered by evasion

Pros:
Cons: Great potential for collateral damage

Rift

Cons: No ceiling on dmeage, Requires air

Swarm transformation requires a spell point, so can't be used with the transformation feat.

Familiar conjurstion companions have really weak breath weapons due to reduced HD.
