What are all the ways to gain Shield proficiency?

Moderately armored,
Racial bonus
and multi class

Have I missed any other feats that grant it?

Nope, that mostly covers it. It is also sometimes gained as part of a class feature like hex warrior on hexblade warlocks, not just in basic class proficiencies. Usually the easiest way is a one level dip in a class to get other features as well.

I am likely confusing armor prof with shield. do not have books near me, so going off the top of my head at the moment

Possible since the DM is allowing some homebrew, though it is a case by case. I am pondering offering up a slightly altered lightly armored feat ( remove light armor add in shield)) as the effect is roughly the same + 2 AC
