The title pretty much says it all. The mid-level 5e D&D party I DM for is about to embark on a journey to the 4th layer of the Nine Hells in order to solve some mysteries relating to a party member's backstory. For any DMs who are veterans of running adventures through the Hells, do you have any advice? What sorts of encounters (combat-oriented or otherwise) might they encounter? How might the average devil react to their presence? I'd appreciate any ideas I can get!
