Taking a 1 level cloistered cleric dip on a non casting character. Trading knowledge domain for devotion. Pride domain to help saving throws, and ??? For third domian.

Travel Devotion is a classic. Alternatively, Magic lets you use wizard wands (and cleric wands).

3rd party prestige class that trades your ability to cast spells for the ability to make items for super cheap. So basically I keep my casting list for item creation, but I can't cast spells anymore. Just something I was looking at.
