Yes, I am fixated on Mountain Dwarf. PeteNutButter’s thread has given the idea to play AL with three of the Bard Builds in that thread with MD characters. I have suitable figures, so here we go...
First Morgan Deepdelver, aiming for Bard 6+/Paladin 2 (maybe 4)
Should I
A). Stay at Paladin 2 then focus on Bard Swords 6+
B). Should I go Paladin 2, Bard 6, Paladin 4, Bard 7+
C). Paladin 4, Bard 6+
There no other options I am considering. None
Start 17 ST, DE 10, CO 16, IN 8, WI 10, CH 15. Background Entertainer. Yes, those are not changing either.
Second, after Morgran hits 8 or 10 levels, I want to try Baern Brawnanvil, War Drummer, Bard 6+/Champion 4.
Build order question:
1) Fighter 1, Swords Bard 6/Fighter 4, Bard 7+
2) Fighter 4, Bard 6+
Start ST 17, DE 8 (“Batting cleanup...”), CO 14, IN 8, WI 12, DE 15.
There no other options I am considering. None
And thirdly, Oskar Orcfoe, chained Singer:
Swords Bard 6/Hexblade 4+:
1) Hexblade 4, Bard 6, Hexblade 5+
2) Hexblade 1, Bard 6, Hexblade 4+
Start ST 10 (racial minimum with 0+2), DE 13 (first ASI +1 and static after that,) CO 16, IN 10 (Yes, I know but he studied Music Theory - character and RP despite optimization,) WI 12, CH 15 (+1 then +2 until 20.)
There no other options I am considering. None
Lots of advice from AL players and DMs who “optimize ‘to a point’ but do not focus only on numbers” but, wisely or not, I thought I would use this forum’s strong suit and look for “best of order of leveling” and only that, tweaks.
Any other thoughts ( change Build, change Race, yada-yada-yada, will be, almost certainly, set aside as well intentioned diversions.
