Character being made for an undead-heavy game. Party members consist of a Aasimar Barbarian, Elf Slayer, Human Wizard (Necromancer), and the Half-Elf Warpriest.

Player wants to be the primary healer and be something of a switch hitter (ie, not tied down to melee or ranged exclusively, but adequate at both {read: NOT 'super effective'}). It is understood that buffing is going to play a role in boosting melee combat capabilities. Player wants to be dex based and use a scimitar (worships Sarenrae). Dervish Dance is assumed to be taken. Calamity caller was taken for the at-will ranged ability.

Ability score generation is 15 point buy.

How would you suggest the Warpriest develop their abilities?

Stats: Dex = Wis > Con = Str > Cha > Int
Taking (+1/6 combat feat) favored class bonus

Thank you.

That's a pretty zesty archetype, able to hand out debuffs like that at higher levels.

I would normally say that wisdom does not need to be above 16 for a warpriest but it makes slightly more sense to buff it for the calamity. It still scales with level and a good knowledge check will identify the weakness of the monster, allowing the caster to choose which is the best option.

If the character is going dex to damage then strength is probably the biggest dump stat. Charisma is also useless, but higher intelligence means more skill ranks which helps the otherwise skillstarved class. I would go dex>wis>con>int>str>cha.

With calamities as ranged options, the warpriest can stick to buffing and utility casting to fortify their melee combat. Divine favor swift action will still be a staple although calamities add in a ton of good options.
