I recently saw a thread concerning the best summoner ever, mentioned on this thread was a druid with a summoning PrC.
I can't rememmber seeing any druid summoning PrCs, where didn't I look?

Let's think...

Thamaturgist? Or is that just for clerics?

I can't think of anything else... :smallannoyed:

Sentinel of Bharrai from Book of Exalted Deeds can summon a bunch of Dire Bears with maxed HP.

Thaumaturgist will work with a Druid if taking the Summoner Domain with a feat or special.

Is that the Planar Shepherd from Ebberon?

Its aimed at cleric's and is doable by anyone Arcane Casters with a bit of featage and some Wisdom.

My mistake Arcane Discple is just that, Arcane Based

Its from Complete Divine

All you need is a feat.

Greenbound Summoning.

You are now awesome. Greenbound Summoning is in the book Lost Empires of Faerun.

I've been looking into this for myself, and would strongly encourage any druid to get to level 8 before going PrC. Large Wild Shape, Natural Spell and being able to stay wild 24/7 is well worth the wait.

Having said that, there are some interesting things in complete scoundrel. There's one I'm looking at (I forget the name) that will allow you to apply metamagic feats to spells without increasing the spell slot level.

So, If I had this, I could either use a 4th level spell to summon a giant croc, or summon 3 (instead of 1d3) Dire wolves, or 5 instead of (1d4+1) hippogriffs.

Other than that, there's a feat in the PHB that adds +4 to str and con of your summons.

Augument summoning. Sadly it has prerequisite Spell Focus: Conjuration. It is still a very good feat though.

Moonspeaker, a PrC for Shifter Druids is arguably the best summoner PrC for druids (Races of Eberron).
