Hey Playground, I have a general question for you guys.
So, our group encountered a manticore last night. Due to an extremely good set of rolls and some quick thinking on the part of multiple party members, instead of killing him, we now have a new flying death kitty friend named Razz. So the question is, how does a group of level 3-4 characters make the best use of our new friend? The party currently consists of:
4th level Human Ranger. True Neutral. Hates Fey (the main antagonists of the campaign) with an unrelenting passion.
4th level Dragonborn Barbarian. Chaotic Good. wants to protect the game's main settlement and find out what happened to his brother.
4th level Dwarf Cleric (war). Lawful Neutral. Wants to resolve the fighting between the settlement and the Fey. Loyal to his friends and the settlement.
3rd Level NPC half-orc Barbarian. Chaotic Neutral. The party adopted him in a prior session because he drinks a lot and violently hugs enemies. He likes the party because they let him drink as much as he wants and seems to keep finding fun things to fight.
and new to the group: Razz the Manticore, who after nearly dying in the first round of combat due to some crazy good rolls, was convinced to help the party in exchange for healing and food. After the party filled their side of the promise he started to like the idea of having a group of adventurers who are willing to help him and let him eat satyrs. Side note, the drunken half orc actively loves our new "flying murder kitty".
