I will be posting one change, or group of changes, at a time to hopefully allow for a little more discussion/ tweaks/ general thoughts, if you would be so kind:smallsmile:

A note before starting: I am aware that this edition is.. unstable, especially at higher levels. My rules don't necessarily aim to completely eliminate that issue, too large a task. What I'm going for is general playability, a certain feel I have about things, and of course, fun for all players including those running muggles. With that said, do let me know if I've horribly broken anything. Also, feel free to ask for any clarification.

Second General Rule:
The sized based massive damage rule variant as outlined in the Dungeon Master’s Guide, and the hit dice based massive damage threshold rule variant as outlined in Unearthed Arcana shall both be in effect.

In addition, a creature's Constitution modifier shall be added to their massive damage threshold.

Therefore, a medium creature’s massive damage threshold is equal to 25 +2 per hit die +Constitution modifier, whereas a small creature’s threshold is 15 +2 per hit die +Constitution modifier.
This one is, admittedly, mostly just on some whim about "verisimilitude." Let me know if that's dumb or just won't work

Notice that this rule regards d4s and d12s the same way (just pointing it out)

Hmmm fair point. I'll have to think on that... Part of me is wondering if this one is a 100% necessary change or if it was too vague of a thought along the lines of "bigger things can sustain bigger injuries," and "power level and toughness should mean something..." Is it something you've bothered with?
