Tell me what your favorite moments in The Order of the Stick are!

understatement

Since I have too much time nowadays I'll call some off the top of my head by character: (in no order)

when Roy spectacularly slashes up Durkula

when Haley two-shots Tarquin with a broken arm

when Elan indirectly dumps him off the boat

when V prepares Explosive Runes against an epic lich

when Durkon gives Durkula all the good stuff

when Belkar tears through the Thieves' Guild

when Xykon gives the awesome Power speech

when RedclaokRedcloak gives Tsukiko his Undead speech

when MiTD teleports V and O-Chul

when O-Chul stabs out RC's eyeseye

when Soon Kim beats the piss out of X and RC (both of them screaming ARGHHHHHH is still one of my personal golden moments)

when V sets elderly people (VL) on fire, acid, lightning, etc

when Nale kills Malack

when the Snarl bursts out of the Rift

when the Gods vote at the Moot

Some of my favorites are also near the 'book' endings. I like the Order sailing off to Western Continent probably the most, but Xykon riding a silver dragon over a hobgoblin army and the fall of Azure City are probably up there. All the other endings are seriously amazing too.

Wow, I wrote way more than I planned to.

651 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0651.html) - 661 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0661.html). A Rollercoaster of emotion, I tells ya, with O-Chul immediately and unambiguously demonstrating how he is the greatest character in the comic.

Not in the main comic:
"So You defend this savage who has vowed to kill our people?
-No. I defend the one next to him who has not.
[...]
There are only two sides. There are only ever two sides. The side that wants a war. And the side that does not.

Heh, I dunno, I don't have en encyclopedic memory for the comic, but I will say that these last two panels in #951 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0951.html) were probably the funniest in the comic. Especially Belkar's line in the last one, always gets me cackling. And I've not been a fan of the humour so much since the Order got on the Mechane.

My favorite arc has always been the clash of Redcloak and Tsukiko. And since I read How the Paladin got his scar... Pretty much every moment with O-Chul...

Two moments that I really like:
(1) Roy meets Eric and they decide to build together.
(2) O'Chul telling MiTD that he knows who he is - a good man.

As far as strung together scenes, O'Chul and Lien at the North Pole appeal to me for a wide variety of reasons.

The fight with Durkula, from the moment of Chaos Giraffes to Belkar burying the stake in Durkula's heart was, for me, most excellent as a battle scene and an internal battle scene, interleaved with artfulness.

And for flat out shennanigans, Belkar and Extreminator: both in the gladiator arena, and during the desert fight.
Finally, Belkar acts like a Ranger.

For me, the moment when Redcloak kills Tsukiko (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0830.html) and reveals himself to be potentially even more of a threat than Xykon.

This might just be recency bias, but in terms of sheer impact, the graveyard of worlds reveal (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots1139.html) was pretty great.

Also, when lots of readers assumed Elan's father was Lord Tyrinar, then he was revealed to be a different warlord, then he turned out to be pretty closely connected with Lord Tyrinar after all (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0758.html).

A few people have mentioned when V cast Exploding Runes on the phylactery, but my favorite moment in that scene was actually one comic earlier (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0658.html), when Blackwing popped up. It was the final & most satisfying variation on the "magically-appearing familiar" gag. Other favorites:

The hardest I ever laughed at the comic was when Leeky Windstaff attacked at Cliffport (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0344.html) and justified Durkon's tree paranoia. Everything from "ATTENTION, MEWLING CITY-DWELLERS!" onward absolutely killed me.

Another really satisfying moment was when Haley saw through the Xykon decoys (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0428.html) to the true nature of the con. I love smart deductions that feel earned. It was as good as any Sherlock Holmes monologue.

More recently, the "A new color in the crayon box (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots1141.html)" reveal was brilliantly set up and executed. Which is a longer way of saying I found it incredibly satisfying. Most of my favorite moments are just exciting, satisfying reveals that are grounded in story and character. Rich is really good at that and it's probably the biggest reason why I'm still reading after ten years.

Land of the Rising Soon. I was a regular reader at that time. It's still good in an archive binge or a book, but it was incredible when we readers were waiting for serial installments, and then Rich Burlew delivered.

Wrecan's Farewell Speech. Simple and moving. The artist gave Wrecan time and space and respect.

Haley Got Her Voice Back. Her voices pushed her and pushed her and then Elan pushed her as well until she SNAPPED. In the right direction, fortunately. Amazing build and release of tension.

O-Chul vs Xykon. Specifically, the moment when V asks O-Chul if he wants to retreat, and then O-Chul's answer. Also: a few panels later, when Blackwing nearly destroys the phylactery, and Blackwing sees something new inside the Snarl.

Hinjo's junk. Also Hinjo's package. I don't remember if we ever found out what happened to Hinjo's package!

Presumably Hinjo's package found its way to someone else's junk, one that wasn't rocked hard by an octopussy.

Elan's not my favorite character, but he's in a lot of my favorite moments.

Denying that psychopathic egomaniac.

Demonstrating the Dashing Swordsman's immunity to broken glass (and Haley giving him a piece of her mind thereafter).

O Buddy Roy.

His moment at the pyramid.

"You'll live."

Coolness wise-the battle with durkula, from beginning to an end (especially now that I can read everything at once) is magnificent. perfect buildup, expectation subversion, great action, and a moving ending.

Emotions-everything that happens in the pyramid from durkon's death until after Elan's speech.

Other cool stuff-The Familicde will always give me chills, and Im always a sucker for a good speech (Elan's at azure city, Xykon's power monologue, RC's undead monologue, and Elan's hope speech in the pyramid)

Also, the splash panel here (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0825.html).

If it was a TV episode, there'd be like an ominous "WUHHHHHH" sound, followed by an advertisement for interior decorations.
