I need help making a stat block for a Huge-sized wolf. My Ranger (UA revised Beast Conclave Lv15) wants a wolf the size of an elephant as an animal companion and as a mount.

so my initial thought is to take the stat blocks for wolf (medium) and dire wolf (large) and project the stat increases up one step further as a linear projection.

AC: 13 -> 14 -> 15
speed: 40 ft -> 50 ft -> 60 ft
Hit die: 2d8 -> 5d10 -> 8d12
STR: 12 -> 17 -> 22
DEX: 15 -> 15 -> 15
CON: 12 -> 15 -> 18
INT: 3 -> 3 -> 3
WIS: 12 ->12 -> 12
CHA: 6 -> 7 -> 8

Bite: 2d4 -> 2d6 -> 2d8

So our mega ultra maximum over-wolf will have:

Armor Class 15 (natural armor)
Hit Points: 84 (8d12 + 32)
Speed: 60 ft.

STR 22 (+6), DEX 15 (+2), CON 18 (+4) , INT 3 (-4), WIS 12 (+1), CHA 8 (-1)
Skills: Perception +3, Stealth +4
Senses: Passive Perception 13
Languages: -
Challenge Rating: ? *shrug*

Keen Hearing and Smell (as per monster manual for wolves)
Pack Tactics (as per monster manual for wolves)

Action
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, one target. Hit: 15 (2d8+6) piercing damage. If the target is a creature it must succeed on a DC 16 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

I would say its CR would be 4 or 5. They’re the size of an elephant, but the fact they’re predator combined with their speed would likely make them more threatening than an elephant.
