Shepard druid bear totem THP duration

I have my first Shepard druid at a table and I realized the bear totem doesn't specify if the thp end with the totem so they should last until next long rest.

So theoretically the druid could use this before short rest and recharge totem.

That is correct.
The temp hit point doesn't have a duration, so as long as you have them and don't long rest, you're fine.
