I’ve recently purchaed the majority stake in a building in a town. The building is basically PC quarters and since I paid the most of anyone in the party, I get naming rights.

The reason I paid the most is because I’m mostly responsible for the party being exiled from our hometown. I cast fireball too close to the city walls trying to destroy a macguffin artifact and it ended up amplifying the spell and causing fireballs to rain down. It was a mess.

I want the name for the building to be something that touches on the story behind how we got there and the best idea I have so far is “The Errant Fireball”.

The building won’t be an inn or public house but just a house the party shares.

Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Ooh, I LOVE naming. Hmmm....

I suggest:
The Tower of Ash (Obviously only if it's a tower. Towers are cool.)
Khin-Gloin, the Burning Tower (No, I'm not compensating, I just like towers. No homo, eheh.)
The Burning Weave
The Coiled Swords
Bonfire Bastion
Accelerant Outpost

House <coolest surname in the party>

Or use a British noble title -- House Norfolk, House Devon, House Renfrew.

It's unclear if you regret the incident from the way you tell it, but since you paid the majority of the stakes, I assume that you might. So my suggestions try to touch ore emphasize that sentiment or intent:
- Redemption base.
- Redemption of fire/ of the burn.
- The aspiring pheonix (As pheonix die in flames before being born again to fight evil).
- Debt of fire/ the burning (Signifying your debt to the city).
- The new start
- The second chance
- The turning point
- Seed of ash/ ember.
- The promising coal
- The phoenix promise/ seed.
- Ember light/ Ember right.
- <character/ party name>'s promise/debt/commitment/redemption...

Just of the top of my heas. With some I mixed and matched, I guess you can try as well to get what sounds best to you.

Personally I don't think any remembering on WHAT happened to the town is good. The town of Sandpoint in Rise of Runelords referred to a great fire in its latest decade as "The Late Unpleasantness".

Maybe incorporate your character's intentions with the name, or encapsulate his guilt towards the action or result, or go the different direction and don't look back, but forwards.

'The Regretful Wizard', 'Den of Disarray' or the 'Ashen Castle', maybe just 'Hot Spot' tho.

The Tower of Ash (Obviously only if it's a tower. Towers are cool.)

I think calling a non-tower the Tower of Ash is so much better.

Otherwise, Camp Inferno comes to mind. It can later be upgraded to Inferno Base, Fort Inferno, or Castle Inferno as it grows.
