Hi all. I'm just about to start a Pathfinder adventure with some friends, and the three of us have decided to play a trio of Tiefling brothers. Currently my party-mates are playing a buff/debuff Wizard, and a Magus (whom I believe is centered around single target melee damage). What can I play to help cover some of the roles left in the party? What should I focus into to stay relevant long-term?

Our starting level is 8, with a 20 point buy and standard starting wealth by level. 3rd party material is permitted, so long as it's on the d20pfsrd and we all agree. Anyone got some cool ideas I could use to help round things out? What do you feel is missing?

Thanks in advance.

Cleric or Druid wouldn't go amiss at all.

Sounds like fun. I think I'd rather go druid, if it came to that. Is druid in pathfinder much different than in 3.5?

The Druid did not get changed very much, but wildshape did. It no longer swaps your stats but buffs your stats.

Druid is a good pick. If you don't want wildshape, I'd suggest the Nature Fang archetype. You'd be able to offer the Magus some combat support (either through your companion or yourself)/

If you're able to use the alternate tiefling heritages (e.g. demon-spawn or asura-spawn) then the sky is the limit - you can get almost any combination of stat bonuses/penalties you could want, opening up any key ability score-using class.

From the other two classes being run I'd recommend a divine caster of some kind, like a cleric or oracle.

Yeah, Cleric, Druid or Oracle of any persuasion would be more than fine. You're in luck since particularly Cleric is capable of being literally anything from beatstick to archer to offensive caster to buffer to summoner to debuffer to skill monkey to...well, anything. So you can literally just pick anything you want and build your Cleric to do that (while doing a bunch of other stuff too 'cause Clerics are hilariously awesome). Druid is pretty awesome too (as said, Wildshape got changed so that you need high physical stats for it to be useful, but you still get animal companion/domain and Druid casting and all the good stuff) and Oracle is basically a spontaneous Cleric (a fine class as well, with some cool curses). But yeah, take your pick, build something awesome, enjoy and profit.

I can't add to the class advice, but I know what your names could be:

Do you know what Pathfinder adventure you are playing? I ask because if you know ahead of time what kind of creatures you will be mainly focused on, you can build a character around it. To that end, I've been heavily considering playing a Druid/Ranger multiclass with plans to use the Shapeshifting Hunter (https://aonprd.com/FeatDisplay.aspx?ItemName=Shapeshifting%20Hunter) feat. It isn't the best choice, mechanically speaking (since you lose spellcasting), but I like the flavor quite a lot.

Considering it appears the other party members are already covering arcane casting, damage and (likely) plenty of skills from high Int scores, I recommend you go Cleric/Warder (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/alternative-rule-systems/path-of-war/classes/warder/) (Ordained Defender (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/alternative-rule-systems/path-of-war/classes/warder/warder-archetypes/ordained-defender/))/Battle Templar (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/alternative-rule-systems/path-of-war/prestige-classes/battle-templar/) for full Wis-based divine casting and initiating, on top of move action buff-casting and truly hardcore heavy-duty defender abilities. Fantastic with a reach weapon and a focus on Eternal Guardian and Riven Hourglass. (Think Cleric/Crusader/Ruby Knight Vindicator from 3.5's ToB, but with Wis-based initiation plus stronger and more fun class features and maneuvers.)

I'll throw in another +1 to a divine caster, probably one that can act as a face. Oracle, paladin, cleric. The suave one.

Inquisitor. Assuming standard tiefling (and no varying heritages amongst the siblings), you could go with the conversion inquisition and just forget all about charisma, but still be the face. Bonus points for besides being a skill monkey you'll also be a decent fighter and support caster. If you care enough to use the tiefling favored class bonus you can also be scary beyond belief and serve as another lexicon in addition to the wizard. There is also a PoW compatible archetype (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/alternative-rule-systems/path-of-war/classes/martial-class-templates/warpath-follower-template/), if you're interested in that.
Obviously less powerful than a 9th level caster, mind you.
