Reading a thread here. I thought this might be a fun idea. Its basicly creating a backstory to explain how the character got all the clsses it does.

Barbarian 1/ fighter 2/ rougue 2/ druid 1/ ranger 1/ warlock 1/ wizard 1.

Barbarian, Fighter, Rogue and Ranger can be lumped together under "smart fighter guy". The others are more problematic because they have associated spellcasting of different styles.

Warlock can be combined with Wizard; he's made a pact for power or arcane knowledge, making him an arcane caster with some spell-like abilities.

Druid can probably be combined with the fighter-classes. It'll depend on his stat distribution as to how much his various class abilities stand out.

So... a forest guardian, a canny fighter, with the basics of nature-derived divine casting, but who's pursuing arcane knowledge through a pact with a fey entity to help further his ends.

I'd say that Barbarian, Druid, and Ranger get grouped together as his "early years" in some savage wilderness. Perhaps his Ranger days led him into contact with a group of adventurers or other people that gave him reason to travel to a city, picking up his Fighter and Rogue levels. There, something dramatic happens that causes him to need arcane power in a hurry (friends kidnapped, barbarian village massacred, etc.), and he makes a pact with a Whatever, giving him his Warlock level. Once the crisis is averted, he wants to learn a little more about what he's just gotten himself into, and moves into Wizard to study the arcane in greater detail.
