View Full Version : Sigdi is a badass.

Seriously. I love this dwarf. She casually puts Hilgya back in her place, and she does it so adroitly that Hilgya can't even complain. And now we find she's gotten Hilgya to leave Kudzu in a safe place, as she should have been doing all along.

I love badass grandmothers. She reminds me of my own grandma, actually: Short, stern, German, undemonstrative, and as loving as a person could possibly be. My grandma made my life, just by treating me like a human being and never doubting me. She's now 89 years old and uses a cane, but she's still as strong as she always was. And I can totally picture her putting an evil cleric in her place and making her stop wearing a babyshield.

Hooray for Sigdi Thundershield!

Yeah, I loved the way she takes Sigdi to school. "It's part of being a mother. You'll see."

Is it too early to start printing "Sigdi Thundershield is my co-pilot" bumper stickers?

I like how Hilgya just budges when Sigdi and Minrah stand up to her.

Sigdi is who Batman wants to be when he grows up, because she's just that awesome.

I find it somewhat ironically comedic that Hilgya isn't cowed by ~like 5 15-level adventurers, but gets the (O_O) expression in front of 5th-level Minrah and one-armed Sigdi.

They're so awesome.

And now, I want even more a Prequel about Sidgi.

The existence of this thread is a fantastic thing. Let me add my voice too! Woo Sigdi! Seriously she has quickly become one of my favorite characters. Tough, wise, kind, hilarious. I did not expect to see her in the comic other than in flashbacks and I am pleasantly surprised!

In other news: Sky is blue, water is wet. I love how effortlessly Sigdi keeps being awesome in all sorts of different ways. Would love a prequel from her monster hunting Days.

It is blue for a bunch of physics reasons, but everything is the colour that it is for a bunch of physics reasons. Why treat the sky differently?

If we percieve something as a colour, it is that colour by definition

And the only way you can perceive Sigdi right now is "badass."

Or "mother", if you're Durkon. ;)

Sigdi does, sadly, have one flaw, albeit less pronounced than Mr. Burlew's other female characters (including Lauron): she still invites fan shipping, for example with O-Chul in the Strip 1162 thread.

Sidgi's Badassery is also a Law of Physics. It's called Sidgi's Law. :smallwink:

For every action there is an equal or opposite mother's reaction.

Yeah, Kazumi Kato went to Sidgi's School of Motherhood and Badassery. She received an invitation carried by a Roc when she was young.

For strange reasons I'd love to see her thrown some words down on Tarquin.

Once upon I time, there was a group of adventurers, composed only of O-Chul, Sidgi and Chuck Norris.

They didn't need Rogues, because they spooked the traps.

They didn't need clerics, because they crushed the undead and healed by themselves.

They didn't need arcane spellcasters, because they altered reality by sheer badassery.

They inspired themselves.

Chuck Norris isn't awesome enough to polish the boots of either Sigdi or O-Chul. Nobody is, which is why they do it themselves.
