I've been getting back into d&d lately and, in catching up on all the new stuff that's been released, I ended up a little overwhelmed. So, I ended up putting together this list of every character option and where it can be found as well as noting which version is the newest or most official.

This is actually a very good reference to determine what books you should get in order to add content. By doing a CTRL-F of PHB, XGtE, VGtM SCAG, GGTR, or MToF and counting the results, you can see how many options each book provides you:

PHB: Over 9000 (Browser actually said over 100, but memes).
XGTE: 89
SCAG: 24
VGtM: 16
MToF: 15

A glossary of abbreviations would be helpful. Not everyone knows, for instance, that MToF is Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes.

It'd also be nice, for those sources that are online, to include links. Maybe gradually add those over time?

Oh, and a nitpick, the elemental race from Elemental Evil is "Genasi", not "Ginasi".

You have used the word incorrectly throughout your post. As far as I know, Devine means the same thing in French, but you gotta respect the contextual accuracy (which is english in this case).

Also, you may want to add GGtR to the list of abbreviations.

Another thing you might want to consider as a valid player option is Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron.

This book is somewhat in flux:

Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron

Its technically still being playtested. But its also released.

Its essentially a PDF, that you purchase, that has 5E's version of Eberron. They've stated it will continuously be updated until its finalized.

So... its out. But the final versions of everything are still technically in flux.

Another nitpick: It's "Divine", not "Devine".

Very well done.

This is actually a very good reference to determine what books you should get in order to add content. By doing a CTRL-F of PHB, XGtE, VGtM SCAG, GGTR, or MToF and counting the results, you can see how many options each book provides you:

PHB: Over 9000 (Browser actually said over 100, but memes).
XGTE: 89
SCAG: 24
VGtM: 16
MToF: 15
GGTR: 13

Obligatory note that the SCAG options are less well-written than the others.

Like seriously, when does the purple dragon knight come up, outside of discussion of the "worst PRC in the game"?

Also, a side note:

there are something like 200 options from Unearthed Arcana, which is free. That's remarkable!

If you want to be a completist you could add the NPC races in the DMG (some of which, like the skeleton, have yet to have a PC version fleshed out).

Maybe also the NPC people types in the MM (and elsewhere, if they are elsewhere).

That's a subclass created by Matt Mercer (of Critical Role fame) and published in his campaign setting guide: https://greenroninstore.com/products/critical-role-tal-dorei-campaign-setting
If I'm not mistaken you can also find his stuff in DnD Beyond.

Due to how well known he is and his close association with WoTC, I know many consider his stuff semi-official. At least similar to UA

Added all that in, I kept all the version of the races that are also in other books separate as they are kind of different but everything should be there.

Added in the DMG NPC options with a note in the tag that they are for NPCs. I don't know that there is any player options in the Monster Manual but I'll keep an eye out when I look through it next.

My quick perusal notes a few things to consider.

The DMG Eladrin is different than the MToF version. Maybe not line thru the DMG one. My tables have played with both versions.

Deep Gnomes can also be found in EE, not listed in the first Deep Gnome entry, but is later under DMG NPC races section wherein Svirfneblin is incorrectly spelled. Bullywug above that and Duergar further above are also incorrectly spelled.

Some Backgrounds are listed in the official Adventure modules as well. Anthropologist and Archaeologist from Tomb of Annihilation and Curse of Strahd's Haunted One come to mind.

I'm not sure if you're going to include stuff from WoTC's Extra Life on DM's Guild. I see you have the Tortle Package listed, but One Grung Above contains another race (Grung) and the Lost Laboratory of Kwalish contains new spells: 2nd and 4th for Warlock and Wizard as well as a 3rd for Wizard.

EE Deep Gnome moved to a gnome subclass. Its poorly labeled in EE.

I noticed Lost Library of Kwalish in there, but didn't see anything from it.

Was LLoK put out by WotC in the same vein as Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron, Tortle and One Grung Above? I thought it was just DM's Guild material.

And if so...is it any good? I've gotten a few things from DM's Guild, and they're fairly decent. I like the Oriental Adventures one, because the Shogun class is basically a Warlord (some of the other Class options are hideously broken, however (Barbarian path lvl 3 feature doubles all rage damage AND grants Psychic Resistance on top of normal rage benefits, some low-level ways to increase crit range, etc).

I checked and the Ravenica Goblins are mechanically identical to the ones in Volos aside from alignment so not an alternate version, just another source for them.

Circle of Stones sounds like it would be an autocorrect (as in, generally Stonehenge is often referred to as Circle of Stones).
