Sending through planes?

Is their any magic item that can communicate through planar boundaries and isn’t single use? I would prefer something other than sending, but that’s fine too. Thanks for the help.

Sending Stones (1400 GP, MIC) can be used to cast sending 1/day, but if your target is on another plane, there's a 5% chance the message doesn't get there.

Most other magic communication items require the sender/receiver to be on the same plane. You could create a custom item with the interplanar message spell. 1/day would be 5400 GP, or if you want at-will command word activation, 27000 GP.

Thanks a lot. I saw Sending Stones in Magic Item Compendium, but I didn’t notice that they could do that. I’ll probably use a custom magic item, though. By the way, thanks for the entire Shax’s Indispensable Haversack.
