View Full Version : Mercer Gunslinger Fighter - Magic Item Help

Currently playing a lvl 9 Gunslinger in a homebrew campaign and am looking for ideas for magic guns. The way we've worked it so far is that my Gunslinger builds the gun, then has it enchanted by a member of the secret society he's a part of.

The one magic gun he has at the the moment is a modified Flametongue enchantment that deals Lightning damage instead.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.

An enchantment wherein the ammunition is stored in an extra-dimensional space that can hold something like 50 bullets at a time, essentially negating your need to reload during combat except in monster-length battles.

Give a "tracer round" or "scope", that expands the crit range 1x per short/long rest.
A "pistol whip" enchantment, allowing the weapon to be used as a melee weapon that deals bludgeoning damage.
A "self-healing" enchantment, allowing the weapon to auto-magically mend through a jam, 1x per rest.
A "U238" enchantment, allowing rounds that kill a target pass through to another target in a straight line behind them.
A "hollow point" enchantment, dealing additional damage to targets under half health (the "bloodied" condition)
A "curving" enchantment, allow the gunslinger to use a bonus action to reroll a missed attack roll against a different target within 30 feet of the original target 1x/rest
A threat zone enchantment, allowing the 'slinger to use a bonus action to indicate a point they can see to make ranged attacks of opportunity whenever a hostile creature enters or leaves a 5ft radius around that point
A "explosive shot" enchantment, allowing the 'slinger to occasionally cause AoE damage around single targets they hit (similar to the Warlock's Maddening Hex invocation)

Reduced misfire chance or allows a reroll.

magic tinkerer's tools - lowers the DC to fix in combat.

Double tap - uses two bullets, but adds to damage.

optics that extended range

silent shot

Something that allows you to ignore disadvantage when firing next to an opponent, or grants you disengage as a bonus action.
