Is Duel wielding some type of one handed fire arm a good idea or is it a trap?

and could i get advice on my feats?

I will be human and have 2 more feats as a Boon that can be taken any time between level 1 & 5 (Starting at level 5)

Dual-wielding handguns is mechanically viable in d20 Modern.

You want the standard d20 ranged combat feats, mostly, and Double Tap (-2 attack and use 2 bullets to add +1d damage).

You could also dual wield machine pistols and take burst fire instead of double tap, but I'd only suggest doing that if you're using Weapons Locker, otherwise you won't have access to a light machine pistol for your offhand netting you a -8 penalty on all your burstfire attacks. Even with a light machine pistol you'll be dealing with a -6 on attacks, but with +3 mastercraft weapons you can reduce that to -3, and laser sights can further reduce it to -2 given the right conditions.
