I'd like to throw in a few letters in loot for my players. Do you guys know any online resource, where I could find some pre-made letters to add to my loot? Problem is, many letters online write about modern stuff like cars, modern disease, etc? Perhaps there is some module, that has printable letters to use?

thanks

Letters as in written texts to someone? What sort of stuff do you want them to say?

Exactly. I really don't care what they say, can be love letters, can be something else, just that there are no cellphones, cars, etc, mentioned in.

How about an adventure hook.

You have except this mission to get information on the, wizard who is helping the orcs.

They are located in the only mountain north of the keep of duke Gable.

Duke Gable will pay for information. Upon submission of this letter and veritable information.

End of letter

The orcs have abandoned the location no encounters except for giant rats cockroaches that sort of thing.

Hanging on the wall of the mages (private office) is a portrait of him with the orc leader. Furniture was left over for loot. Mirrors minor stashes of copper, silver.

The Duke with a picture pays each a +1 magic item.

Consider Civil War letters? Minor changes and you could be good to go.

Here's a vast amount of English translations of letters and other texts found in Egypt written between the Ptolemaic period and the Arab conquest. I'm pretty certain no cars or mobile phones will be mentioned.

That'd be an interesting way to start Curse of Strahd...
