Action surge doesn't give you another bonus action attack.

What is a "hexed weapon?"

What are you getting out of hexblade that you aren't getting out of pure fighter? I can't see what you're trying to grab with these warlock levels. A bit after level 10 fighter your Action Surge actually would be giving you three more attacks.

dual: twin
duel: 1v1

Hexblades want Dex14 with medium armor, leaving Con16 / Cha16.

Ahhh didn’t foresee that bonus action issue.
The pact blade is one weapon and the hex weapon from hexblade is another or same weapon. But a long as you have a pact blade the hex to use Charisma stats for attack and damage apply to both weapons

I’m trying to go duel wield warlock. Only thing I need fighter for is twin weapon fight to get the bonus on second weapon and then duel wield feat to get the two weapons I want.
And I get a few warlock spells to add in like Eldritch Blast for range attacks

I'd rather go Swords Bard with a small Warlock dip

Or barb with fighter dip. There is not a lot to do as barb with ba except rage.

So bard looks promising but
Should it be bard 10 hexblade 10
They both get magic secret any 2 spells and hex Armor but lose 1 asi slot

Othwise 8/12 either way loses magic secret any 2 spells or hex armor.

I have a hard time seeing myself ever taking more than about 5 Warlock levels. I'd probably take more Bard levels if not jump over into Swashbuckler Rogue after a while.

I may be wrong, but I don’t think Eldritch Smite is available at Warlock 2. I think it has a requirement of Warlock 5, and if I’m mistaken there, I’m at least pretty sure you have to take Pact of the Blade first, so minimum Warlock 3

From my reading I didn't saw it have to be warlock level. Level 2 isn't enough anyway.

Eldritch Smite
Prerequisite: 5th level, Pact of the Blade feature

Once per turn when you hit a creature with your pact weapon, you can expend a warlock spell slot to deal an extra 1d8 force damage to the target, plus another 1d8 per level of the spell slot, and you can knock the target prone if it is Huge or smaller.

It’s been clarified/errata’d that it does have to be Warlock level:

Eldritch Invocations (p. 110). The following sentence has been added to the end of the first paragraph: “A level prerequisite refers to your level in this class.”

Good to know.
To add: anything in the Classes chapter uses the class level.

Which if I’m not mistaken means literally everything except Cantrips and Proficiency Bonus scale with class level and not character level.
